**New York, NY** – The New York Jets are expanding their search for a new General Manager, scheduling an interview with Philadelphia Eagles assistant general manager Alec Halaby on Wednesday, NFL Media’s Tom Pelissero reported.

Halaby, a long-time Eagles employee, has steadily climbed the ranks within the organization since starting as a football operations intern. His career with the Eagles includes roles as a player personnel analyst, special assistant to the GM, vice president of football operations and strategy, and, most recently, assistant general manager.

This interview is part of a broad search by the Jets for both a new General Manager and head coach, following the previous season. Numerous candidates have reportedly been interviewed or are slated for interviews for both positions.
