ERODE, INDIA (January 6, 2025) – The final electoral roll for the eight assembly constituencies in Erode district, Tamil Nadu, was released today, revealing a total of 19,77,419 registered voters. The roll, released by District Election Officer and Collector Raja Gopal Sunkara, includes 9,55,356 men, 10,21,871 women, and 192 individuals identifying as third gender. The district will utilize 2,222 polling stations located across 959 stations for the upcoming elections.
The voter count varies across constituencies, with Erode (East) having 2,26,433 voters, Erode (West) 3,01,116, Modakkurichi 2,28,689, Perundurai 2,37,854, Bhavani 2,42,218, Anthiyur 2,20,922, Gobichettipalayam 2,56,220, and Bhavanisagar (SC) 2,63,976.
Since the publication of the draft electoral roll on October 29, 2024, which listed 19,64,676 voters, significant changes were made following four special camps. A total of 70,818 applications were processed, resulting in the inclusion of 35,855 new voters, the deletion of 23,112 names, and 11,851 corrections. This process also resulted in the enrollment of 12,746 new electors. The final roll reflects these updates.
