Mon Jan 06 15:36:57 UTC 2025: ## Andhra Pradesh, Odisha Join Forces in Liquor Smuggling Crackdown
**Vijayawada, January 6, 2025** – A joint operation between Andhra Pradesh and Odisha Excise Departments resulted in the seizure and destruction of a significant amount of illicit liquor. Raids conducted Monday in three border villages of Koraput district, Odisha, led to the destruction of 8,400 liters of raw liquor (“wash”) and 80 liters of ready-to-drink illicit liquor. A total of 75 personnel, including 54 from Andhra Pradesh and 21 from Odisha, participated in the operation. According to Andhra Pradesh Excise Department Assistant Commissioner V. Vivek, the raids targeted the illegal flow of illicit liquor from Odisha into Andhra Pradesh.
