**Chennai, India –** After a twelve-year delay, the Tamil-language film *Madha Gaja Raja* is finally slated for release on January 12th, coinciding with the Pongal festival. The film, directed by Sundar C and starring Vishal, was initially announced in 2012 and was expected to release that same year. However, various production and release issues delayed its theatrical debut.

The star-studded cast includes Vishal, Santhanam, Varalaxmi Sarathkumar, Sathish, Nitin Sathya, Sonu Sood, Anjali, and several late actors including Mani Vannan, Manobala, Mayilsamy, and Citi Babu. The film features music by Vijay Antony and cinematography by Richard M. Nathan. Arya appears in a guest role, and Sadha features in a song.

At a recent press conference, Vishal, Sundar C, and Vijay Antony promoted the film. However, Vishal’s appearance sparked concern among fans. He exhibited visible tremors and speech difficulties, leading to speculation about his health. While co-host Divyadharshini attributed his condition to a fever, videos of the press conference have circulated online, raising concerns among his fans. At one point, a chair was brought for Vishal, who was unable to stand for extended periods during the event.

The film, initially nicknamed “MGR,” is produced by Gemini Film Circuit. Its long-awaited release is expected to generate considerable buzz among Tamil cinema fans.
