Sun Jan 05 00:22:00 UTC 2025: ## NIA Chargesheets Four Maoists for Murder of Maharashtra Youth
**Mumbai, January 5, 2025** – The National Investigative Agency (NIA) has filed a chargesheet against four members of the Communist Party of India (Maoist) for the abduction and murder of a Maharashtra youth. The victim, Dinesh Pusus Gawde, was allegedly killed in November 2023 because he was suspected of being a police informer and a member of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS).
The arrested individuals, Doba Wadde, Ravi Pallo, Sattu Mahaka, and Komati Mahaka, were apprehended months after the NIA took over the case in October 2024. The NIA statement alleges the murder was intended to intimidate villagers from cooperating with security forces and to spread terror. The accused, described as active CPI(Maoist) members with prior alleged criminal activity, were initially arrested by Gadchiroli police, who also seized a firearm, explosives, and other incriminating evidence. The original case was filed at the Dhobraj police station.
