**Bengaluru, January 5, 2025** – A 28-year-old gym instructor, Usman, was brutally murdered in Gulpete, Kolar, Karnataka, on Saturday after attempting to force a marriage proposal on a woman whose family subsequently attacked him. Usman, who was married himself and whose wife was hospitalized, had been pursuing a distant relative working in Bengaluru. Despite the woman’s family rejecting his advances and his own wife filing a complaint against him for infidelity, Usman persisted, leading to the fatal confrontation.
According to police reports, Usman created a disturbance outside the woman’s home, demanding she marry him. This enraged her family, who then attacked Usman, resulting in his death. Passersby discovered him unconscious and rushed him to a nearby hospital, where he was pronounced dead on arrival.
Four members of the woman’s family have been detained by Gulpete police, who have registered a murder case and are conducting a thorough investigation.
