**Kozhikode, January 5, 2025** – The fourth annual Beypore International Water Festival concluded yesterday, drawing thousands of spectators to Kozhikode’s Beypore and Chaliyam beaches. The two-day event featured a spectacular array of water sports and aerial displays.

The festival kicked off with sit-on-top kayaking competitions, attracting participants from various categories. A vibrant kite festival showcased diverse designs, with around 50 kite flyers from 10 states participating under the One India Kite Team. The impressive display included animal shapes, national symbols, and power kites.

Adding to the excitement were demonstrations of flying boards and thrilling dinghy boat races involving local fishermen. This year’s festival introduced paramotoring, with gliders soaring from Chaliyam Beach to Beypore Beach. Surfing and net-throwing competitions further enhanced the vibrant atmosphere.

Visitors also had the unique opportunity to explore INS Cabra (Indian Navy) and ICGS Anagh (Indian Coast Guard) vessels, examining onboard exhibits and machinery. A captivating flypast by a Coast Guard Dornier aircraft and a mesmerizing drone show at the Beypore Marina added to the visual spectacle. Musical performances by playback singers K.S. Harishankar and Jyotsna Radhakrishnan entertained the crowds at Beypore and Chaliyam beaches respectively.

The festival concluded with a valedictory function featuring actors Basil Joseph and Soubin Shahir. The event was hailed as a resounding success, showcasing Kozhikode’s vibrant culture and tourism potential.
