**BELAGAVI, January 5, 2025** – Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah on Sunday dismissed corruption allegations leveled against his government by Janata Dal (S) leader and Union Minister H.D. Kumaraswamy. Mr. Kumaraswamy had accused the government of demanding a 60% commission on all government projects.

Siddaramaiah countered these claims, stating that the opposition should provide concrete evidence to support such serious allegations. “It is not the job of the Opposition just to make baseless allegations,” he told reporters in Davangere. He emphasized the need for data and documentation to substantiate any claims of irregularities.

The Chief Minister also refuted reports of political discussions taking place during a recent dinner at Minister Satish Jarkiholi’s residence, questioning the significance of such gatherings among cabinet colleagues.

Regarding upcoming events, Siddaramaiah stated that the state budget will be presented in March, with specific dates to be announced shortly. He added that decisions regarding cabinet expansion and a potential change in leadership at the Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee would be made in consultation with the party high command.
