**[CITY, STATE] –** An Army Medical Corps (AMC) Captain died after a fatal fall from his fourth-floor apartment balcony on Tuesday, January 2nd, police confirmed Friday. Captain Shankar Raj Kumar, in his 30s, had recently returned home from Lucknow to celebrate the New Year.
According to police, the incident occurred around 12:45 PM. His wife and maid heard a noise and discovered him injured on the ground floor. He was immediately rushed to a nearby private hospital by his wife and neighbors, but succumbed to his injuries later that evening.
Police investigation suggests the fall was accidental, attributing it to a possible slip. Authorities have ruled out foul play.
