**CHENNAI, January 3, 2025** – Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M.K. Stalin will inaugurate a three-day international conference commemorating the centenary of the Indus Valley Civilization’s discovery on January 5th. The event, held at the Museum Theatre Auditorium in Chennai, will also see the laying of the foundation stone for a statue of Sir John Marshall, the British archaeologist instrumental in the discovery.
The conference, a joint effort by the Tamil Nadu Department of Archaeology and the Indus Research Centre at the Roja Muthiah Research Library, will feature prominent speakers including Dr. Nayanjot Lahiri, Dr. Christopher Davis, Mr. Tony Joseph, Dr. K.
