**Gadag, Karnataka, January 3, 2025** – A 54-year-old project engineer, Shankargouda Patil, was found dead in a lodge in Gadag on Friday, sparking an investigation by Betageri Police. Patil, a resident of Hatalageri Naka and employee of the District Nirmiti Kendra, reportedly left home Friday morning stating he was going to a project site. His body was later discovered in a lodge near the Gadag New Bus Stand. Police have registered a case and are investigating the circumstances surrounding his death.
