**New Delhi, January 4, 2025** – Delhi Capitals batsman Karun Nair has rewritten record books with a stunning performance in the Vijay Hazare Trophy (VHT). He achieved a hat-trick of unbeaten centuries in his last three innings, surpassing New Zealand cricketer James Franklin’s world record of 527 runs in consecutive List-A matches.

Nair’s blistering form saw him finish his final innings unbeaten on 112 against Uttar Pradesh. His scores in the series were 111*, 44*, 163*, 111*, and 112*, accumulating a phenomenal 542 runs. This impressive run has significantly strengthened his claim for a place in the Delhi Capitals (DC) IPL 2025 playing XI.

His exceptional form extends beyond the VHT. Nair also shone in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy (SMAT) this domestic season, scoring 255 runs at an average of 42.50 and a strike rate of 177.08. Furthermore, he amassed 560 runs at a strike rate of 181.22 in 12 matches during the Maharaja T20 Trophy in August.
