**Visakhapatnam, India:** Vidarbha captain Karun Nair has etched his name in cricketing history by becoming the first Indian batsman to score 500 runs without being dismissed in List-A matches. This remarkable feat was achieved during a Vijay Hazare Trophy match against Uttar Pradesh on Friday. Nair’s unbeaten century, his third consecutive one in the tournament, propelled Vidarbha to an eight-wicket victory, surpassing New Zealand’s James Franklin’s previous record of 527 runs without being dismissed.

Nair’s innings of 111 runs in the match against Uttar Pradesh followed unbeaten scores of 111, 44, and 163 in his previous three matches. His partnership with Yash Rathod ensured Vidarbha comfortably chased down Uttar Pradesh’s total of 308.

Meanwhile, Punjab’s Prabhsimran Singh also achieved a remarkable feat, scoring his third consecutive century in the Vijay Hazare Trophy. His 137 runs off 105 balls against Hyderabad followed centuries against Mumbai (150) and Saurashtra (125), leading Punjab to a comfortable victory.

This news highlights not one, but two exceptional batting performances in the ongoing Vijay Hazare Trophy. Both Nair and Singh have demonstrated exceptional consistency and skill, leaving their mark on the tournament.
