Fri Jan 03 19:38:40 UTC 2025: ## Karun Nair Sets New World Record for Most List A Runs Without Being Out

**Nagpur, India** – Indian cricketer Karun Nair has shattered a world record, scoring an unprecedented number of runs in List A cricket (50-over format) without getting dismissed. Playing for Vidarbha in the Vijay Hazare Trophy, Nair amassed 542 runs in five consecutive innings, surpassing the previous record held by New Zealand’s James Franklin (527 runs).

Nair’s remarkable streak includes scores of 112*, 44*, 163*, 111*, and 112*. His latest century, a 112-run knock against Uttar Pradesh in the latest match, included 11 fours and two sixes off just 101 balls. Vidarbha chased down Uttar Pradesh’s 307-run total with ease, thanks in part to Nair’s and Yash’s (138) centuries.

Nair’s international career began with a flourish, including a triple-century against England. However, his last international match was in 2017 against Australia. He has played six Test matches and two ODIs for India.

This record-breaking performance solidifies Nair’s position as one of India’s most talented cricketers. While his international career may be on hold, his current form in domestic cricket is undeniably impressive.
