Fri Jan 03 19:14:21 UTC 2025: ## Hyundai Opens Bookings for Creta Electric SUV Ahead of January Launch

**NEW DELHI, January 3, 2025** – Hyundai India has begun accepting bookings for its highly anticipated Creta Electric SUV, with a booking amount of Rs 25,000. Bookings are available both online and offline, although the base Executive trim is not yet open for registration. The all-electric Creta will officially launch on January 17th at the Bharat Mobility Global Expo.

The Creta Electric, while based on the existing ICE Creta, features several key exterior design changes including a redesigned bumper grille, active air flaps, a new skid plate, aerodynamic alloy wheels, and pixel-themed inserts aligning it with Hyundai’s premium EV range. Interior changes include a Kona EV-inspired steering wheel and an Ioniq 5-style drive mode selector. It retains familiar features like dual 10.25-inch screens and a panoramic sunroof.

Five variants will be available: Executive, Smart, Smart (O), Premium, and Excellence. The larger 51.3kWh battery pack (offering a 473km ARAI range) is currently only available on the Smart (O) and Excellence trims. Customers can choose from ten color options, including dual-tone and matte finishes. The smaller 42kWh battery offers a 390km range. The larger battery boasts a 0-100kph acceleration time of 7.9 seconds, faster than the Creta N Line DCT. Charging times range from 58 minutes (10-80% with a 60kW DC fast charger) to 4 hours (10-100% with an AC wall box). Single-pedal driving will also be a feature.

The Creta Electric will compete with other electric SUVs in the Indian market, including the Tata Curvv EV, MG ZS EV, Maruti e Vitara, and Mahindra BE 6.
