**Hyderabad, January 3:** The trailer for the highly anticipated Telugu film “Game Changer,” starring Ram Charan and directed by Shankar, was launched yesterday amidst much fanfare. The event saw the presence of several prominent figures from the Telugu film industry, including S.S. Rajamouli, who heaped praise on director Shankar.
Rajamouli lauded Shankar, calling him the “OG – Original Gangster” of directors, and expressed confidence in the film’s success. He compared the upcoming film to Shankar’s classic “Okkadu,” stating that “Game Changer” promises to surpass it. Rajamouli was particularly impressed by a scene depicting Ram Charan descending from a helicopter in a lungi wielding a sword, predicting a thunderous response from audiences.
Ram Charan spoke about the dedication of both Rajamouli and Shankar to perfection, emphasizing the strong performances that elevate the film. Director Shankar described “Game Changer” as a social, commercial, and mass entertainer revolving around a political leader and an IAS officer, featuring a flashback sequence for the hero’s character. He praised Ram Charan’s performance, jokingly referring to the dedication as “Rama Navami” instead of the usual “Shankaratri” (a reference to Shankar’s intense work ethic).
Producer Dil Raju expressed confidence in the film’s unpredictable narrative, highlighting the vision of Shankar and Rajamouli in bringing such ambitious projects to the screen. The event was also attended by actors Srikanth, Samuthirakani, SJ Suryah, Anjali, music director Thaman, and writer Sai Madhav Burra.
“Game Changer,” produced by Dil Raju and Shirish under Sri Venkateswara Creations, is slated for release on January 10th, as a Sankranti treat for audiences.
