Sat Jan 04 12:54:21 UTC 2025: ## Four Killed in Head-on Collision on Balanagar-Narsapur Highway
**Hyderabad, January 4, 2025** – Four people died and four others were injured in a serious road accident on the Balanagar-Narsapur highway on January 3rd. A speeding car, driven by professional driver Daya Shankar, crossed into oncoming traffic and collided with two autorickshaws near Jinnaram in Sangareddy district.
The deceased have been identified as Papagari Manisha (24), an assistant engineer; D. Aishwarya Laxmi (20), a degree student; Anasuya (50); and Praveen (24). Miraculously, the two autorickshaw drivers escaped with their lives. The accident occurred around 10:20 a.m.
Police Inspector Nayeemuddin stated that Shankar was driving his cousin’s car and lost control, veering into the opposite lane. One autorickshaw carried three passengers, while the other had a single occupant. Shankar has been arrested, and police are investigating the incident.
