**Thiruvananthapuram, January 3, 2025** – A fire broke out at a warehouse attached to the Tata Elxsi office building in Technopark Phase 1, near Kazhakuttam, on Friday evening. Fire and Rescue Services personnel from four stations battled the blaze for over two hours before bringing it under control.
The fire, reported around 4:45 pm, is believed to have started due to sparks from welding work that ignited paint thinner stored in the warehouse. Employees were swiftly evacuated from the Neyyar building, but thick smoke continued to emanate from the structure even after the flames were extinguished, requiring the use of blowers for an extended period. No injuries have been reported.
