Fri Jan 03 16:19:07 UTC 2025: ## Pushpa 2 Still Reigns Supreme at Box Office Despite Drop

**Hyderabad, India –** Allu Arjun’s *Pushpa: The Rule* continues its box office dominance, even after a month in theaters. While the film saw a significant drop in earnings on its fifth Thursday (January 2nd), collecting approximately ₹5.1 crore (approximately $617,000 USD) compared to ₹13.25 crore (approximately $1.6 million USD) the previous day, it remains a powerhouse. The Hindi version contributed ₹3.75 crore (approximately $450,000 USD) to the Thursday total.

Despite this more than 60% decrease, *Pushpa 2*’s overall performance dwarfs recent releases. Varun Dhawan’s *Baby John*, released on December 25th, failed to reach ₹50 crore (approximately $6 million USD) in its first eight days.

*Pushpa 2: The Rule* has now raked in a staggering ₹1,189.85 crore (approximately $143 million USD) net domestically and a record-breaking ₹1,799 crore (approximately $217 million USD) globally in its first 28 days. This makes it the second highest-grossing Indian film of all time, surpassing *Baahubali 2: The Conclusion*. The film is now only behind Aamir Khan’s *Dangal*, and industry analysts predict it could potentially claim the top spot soon.
