Fri Jan 03 14:30:39 UTC 2025: ## Andhra Pradesh Police Arrest Four After Hit-and-Run on Constables

**Rajahmundry, Andhra Pradesh, January 3, 2025** – Four men from Uttar Pradesh were arrested Friday in connection with a hit-and-run incident that injured two constables on December 31st. The incident occurred at the Krishnavaram toll plaza on National Highway-16 in Kakinada district.

According to Kakinada Superintendent of Police P. Vikrant Patil, the suspects, identified as S. Tarun Kumar, S. Juhid (both from Hathras), C. Mukistam, and Md. Jakeera Jah (both from Aligarh), were apprehended while attempting to leave Rajamahendravaram. Their car had struck two constables who were attempting a vehicle check.

One constable, R. Lova Raju, sustained serious injuries and is currently hospitalized but in stable condition. The other constable suffered minor injuries. The suspects fled the scene after the incident.

Police investigations revealed the suspects were transporting 68 kg of ganja (cannabis) obtained from Paderu. A case has been registered and the investigation is ongoing.
