**Puducherry, January 2, 2025** – A three-day regional-level science exhibition opened Thursday at Sri Marimalai Adigal Government Higher Secondary School in Embalam, Puducherry. Chief Minister N. Rangasamy inaugurated the event, which features approximately 400 scientific models created by students from government and private schools across the Union Territory.
The exhibition, organized by the Directorate of School Education, is a two-stage competition. Winners from this regional round will advance to the state-level competition on January 6th and 7th at the same venue. The state-level winners will then represent Puducherry at the Southern India Science Fair in Puducherry from January 21st to 25th, organized in conjunction with the Visvesvaraya Industrial and Technological Museum, Bengaluru.
Beyond student projects, the exhibition includes stalls from various organizations including the Indira Gandhi Centre for Atomic Research, the National Book Trust of India, and the Puducherry Police Department, showcasing diverse scientific and social initiatives.
