**Jalgaon, Maharashtra –** A 24-hour curfew has been imposed in Paldhi village, Jalgaon district, following a violent clash between two groups on Tuesday night. The incident stemmed from a road rage altercation involving the driver of Maharashtra Water Supply Minister Gulabrao Patil’s car and local residents.
The clash, which erupted around 9:30 pm, resulted in stone-pelting, arson, and damage to vehicles and shops. At least seven individuals have been arrested and remanded for two days on charges of rioting, mischief, and damaging public property. Police reported several minor injuries.
According to police sources, the Minister’s wife and two daughters-in-law were passengers in the vehicle at the time of the incident. Additional police forces were deployed from the Jalgaon headquarters to quell the violence. Authorities are currently investigating the incident, reviewing CCTV footage to determine the root cause of the conflict. The situation is reported to be under control, according to Jalgaon Superintendent of Police Maheswar Reddy.
