**MUMBAI, INDIA** – EaseMyTrip, the online travel agency, announced a leadership change on Wednesday. Nishant Pitti, the company’s CEO and co-founder, has stepped down for personal reasons. His younger brother, Rikant Pitti, the company’s CFO and also a co-founder, has been appointed as the new CEO, effective immediately.

Rikant Pitti, who was featured in Fortune India’s 40 Under 40 in 2022, brings 15 years of experience in travel, tourism, HR, and technology to the role. He also holds the position of vice-chairman of the CII Delhi State Council for 2024-2025. His previous annual salary as CFO was ₹96 lakh.

Nishant Pitti’s departure follows the recent sale of a 1.41% stake in Easy Trip Planners, reducing his ownership to 12.8%. The announcement coincided with a nearly 7% drop in the company’s share price, closing at ₹15.86 on the NSE.

While the company reported a 45.17% decline in consolidated net profit to ₹25.87 crore in the second quarter of this fiscal year, revenue from operations still saw a 2.1% year-on-year increase, reaching ₹144.67 crore.

EaseMyTrip, founded in 2008, offers a wide range of travel services, including airline, rail, and bus tickets, holiday packages, hotels, and more. Rikant Pitti’s extensive business portfolio includes involvement in several other companies alongside his role at EaseMyTrip.
