Thu Jan 02 01:50:00 UTC 2025: ## Bulls’ LaVine Out Tonight Against Hornets with Toe Injury

**Charlotte, NC** – Chicago Bulls star Zach LaVine will miss tonight’s game against the Charlotte Hornets due to a toe injury, head coach Billy Donovan announced. LaVine, the team’s leading scorer, was listed as probable earlier today but aggravated the injury during shootaround. He reportedly had his toe stepped on in the previous game.

The Bulls are already facing other injury concerns. Ayo Dosunmu is expected to be sidelined for at least a week with a calf strain, and Jalen Smith is questionable with an ankle injury. Smith’s absence is particularly concerning, given the Hornets’ strong rebounding abilities.

Despite the absences, the Bulls might have a slight advantage as the Hornets are also expected to be without key players LaMelo Ball and Brandon Miller due to injuries. Josh Giddey, however, is probable for the Bulls after a successful return from injury in the previous game.

The game marks the end of the Bulls’ 2024 calendar year. Further updates on LaVine’s injury are expected soon, particularly as the Bulls play again on New Year’s Day.
