**Erode, Tamil Nadu – January 2, 2025** – Kadambur police apprehended two individuals, Saranraj (32) and Suresh (40), for smuggling gutka from Karnataka into Tamil Nadu. Acting on a tip-off, officers intercepted the men on a two-wheeler near Makkampalayam, seizing 14 kilograms of the banned substance. The suspects, residents of Ayegoundanpalayam in Perundurai, were arrested, and their vehicle confiscated. Charges have been filed, and both men have been remanded to custody.
