Wed Jan 01 15:50:33 UTC 2025: ## Rural Health Centre in Siruganur Achieves National Quality Certification

**Trichy, Tamil Nadu – January 2, 2025** – The Siruganur Community Health Centre (CHC) in Trichy district has received the prestigious National Quality Assurance Standard (NQAS) certification, achieving an impressive score of 87.17%. The certification follows a rigorous three-day external assessment conducted by NQAS assessors from the National Health Systems Resource Centre between December 9th and 11th, 2024.

The assessment encompassed all key areas of the CHC, including accident and emergency services, inpatient and outpatient departments, laboratory, pharmacy, labour room, blood storage unit, operation theatre, auxiliary services, and general administration. The centre successfully met all six NQAS criteria to earn the certification.

This achievement marks a significant milestone for rural healthcare in the region. Twelve more Primary Health Centres in Trichy district are slated to undergo the NQAS certification process in the near future.
