**Mumbai, India** – Several Reserve Bank of India (RBI) regional offices will be closed on January 1st, 2025, in observance of New Year’s Day and various regional festivals, the RBI announced today. The closures will affect offices in Aizawl, Chennai, Gangtok, Imphal, Itanagar, Kohima, Kolkata, and Shillong. These closures are in recognition of both New Year’s Day and regional celebrations such as Loosong and Namsoong.
