Tue Dec 31 11:47:03 UTC 2024: ## Leopard Sighting Shuts Down Infosys Mysore Campus

**Mysore, Karnataka –** A leopard sighting at the Infosys Mysore campus has prompted the IT giant to send its approximately 15,000 employees home and suspend operations at its massive training facility. The animal was spotted Tuesday morning in the campus’s underground parking area, leading to an immediate response from authorities and the company.

Security personnel and CCTV cameras confirmed the leopard’s presence, resulting in the campus being closed to employees. A team of 50 forest department officials, equipped with tranquilizer guns, nets, cages, and drones (including thermal drones for night vision), are conducting a search operation to locate and safely capture the animal.

Around 4,000 trainees residing on the sprawling 370-acre campus, India’s largest Infosys training facility, have been instructed to remain indoors. All training activities have been postponed or shifted online.

Infosys issued a statement confirming the incident and assuring employees of its commitment to campus safety. This is not the first time a leopard has been sighted on the campus, which is situated near a reserve forest known for leopard habitat. The incident recalls a similar event in 2011. The company is working closely with the forest department to ensure the safe resolution of the situation.
