Wed Jan 01 16:30:00 UTC 2025: **Jackson State Tigers Add Offensive Firepower with Transfer Wide Receiver Nate Rembert**

**[City, State] –** Fresh off a dominant season culminating in a Celebration Bowl victory, the Jackson State Tigers are wasting no time bolstering their roster for a championship repeat. The reigning SWAC champions announced the addition of All-SWAC First Team wide receiver Nate Rembert, who transferred from Mississippi Valley State University.

Rembert, a sophomore, had a breakout season for the Delta Devils, racking up 70 receptions for 1,038 yards and four touchdowns. His performance included a standout game against Florida A&M, where he recorded seven catches for 130 yards and a touchdown in an upset win. Before Mississippi Valley State, Rembert also excelled at Edward Waters University.

“Nate’s addition significantly strengthens our already potent offense,” said Jackson State Head Coach T.C. Taylor. “His proven ability to perform under pressure and his impressive receiving stats speak for themselves. We are thrilled to welcome him to the Tiger family.”

Rembert’s signing comes on the heels of Jackson State’s 12-2 season, which included an undefeated conference record and victories in both the SWAC Championship and the Celebration Bowl. The Tigers averaged 189.3 passing yards per game and 27 passing touchdowns this past season. The team’s only loss was a non-conference game against Grambling State University.

The Tigers clearly aren’t resting on their laurels; Rembert’s arrival signals their intent to build on their recent success and compete for another national title in the upcoming season.
