**London, December 31, 2024** – More than 30 Indian-origin professionals have been recognized in King Charles III’s 2025 New Year Honours List, announced Friday in London. The list, comprising over 1,200 recipients across various sectors, celebrates individuals for their outstanding contributions to British society.
Among the prominent recipients are several individuals awarded Commanders of the Order of the British Empire (CBEs), including Leena Nair (CEO of Chanel), Satwant Kaur Deol (services to further education), Charles Pritam Singh Dhanowa (services to competition law), and Professor Sneh Khemka (services to healthcare, science, and technology).
Numerous Indian-origin professionals also received Officers of the Order of the British Empire (OBEs), encompassing diverse fields such as healthcare (Professor Sanjay Arya, cardiologist), academia (Professor Nandini Das), retail (Tarsem Singh Dhaliwal, CEO of Iceland Foods), and public service (Soumya Majumdar, Crown Prosecution Service). Others recognized include individuals making significant contributions to broadcasting, the maritime industry, and mental health awareness.
