**RENO, NV (KOLO-TV)** – The Reno-Tahoe area is expected to enjoy a mild start to 2024, with partly cloudy skies and slightly warmer temperatures for the first few days of the year. However, a weak storm system will bring the possibility of road controls over mountain passes Friday afternoon into early Saturday. The National Weather Service advises motorists to check road conditions before traveling over the passes. The remainder of the weekend and the upcoming week are forecast to be dry and cooler.
