**Vijayawada, January 1, 2025** – Alapati Vidyasagar was sworn in as the new State general secretary of the Andhra Pradesh Non-Governmental Organisation (NGO) Association on Tuesday. He succeeds Chowdary Purushotham Naidu, who retired. Mr. Vidyasagar’s election was unanimous, approved by all district committees through a co-option process by the State executive.
In his address, Mr. Vidyasagar, a 32-year veteran of the association, pledged to work collaboratively with the government while advocating for the rights of government employees, resorting to protests if necessary. He vowed to uphold the association’s legacy and enhance its national standing. He emphasized his commitment to supporting employees and resolving their workplace issues.
