**New Delhi, December 31, 2024** – The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) announced today that practical exams, internal assessments, and projects for classes 10 and 12 will commence on January 1st, 2025, and conclude on February 14th, 2025. Schools are urged to adhere to strict guidelines for the smooth conduct of these assessments.

Key directives issued by the CBSE include: daily uploading of marks; no corrections allowed after uploading; mandatory use of CBSE-appointed external examiners (especially for Class 12); sufficient answer books to be procured; timely communication with parents and students regarding schedules; ensuring adequate laboratory facilities and accommodations for students with special needs; and no exemptions for students participating in national or international sporting events. Schools are advised to contact their regional offices immediately should any issues arise. Failure to comply with CBSE directives may result in the cancellation of practical examinations. The board emphasizes the importance of accurate mark allocation and stresses that any irregularities will result in the nullification of the assessment.
