Tue Dec 31 19:17:08 UTC 2024: **Delhi BJP Accuses AAP of Broken Promises, Releases Chargesheet**

NEW DELHI (January 1, 2025) – The Delhi BJP leveled serious accusations against the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) government on Tuesday, releasing a “chargesheet” detailing alleged failures and unfulfilled promises over the past decade. Kamaljeet Sehrawat, Delhi BJP general secretary and West Delhi MP, held a press conference outlining these shortcomings, focusing specifically on West Delhi’s unmet needs.

Sehrawat cited significant discrepancies in the issuance of ration cards, claiming that only 68,000 out of a promised 156,800 were issued in West Delhi by 2015. She also highlighted the non-payment of pensions to over 300,000 elderly residents since 2015. Furthermore, the BJP criticized the AAP government for failing to deliver on promises to establish 11,000 buses, 500 schools, and 20 universities. While acknowledging the 940 e-buses provided by the central government, Sehrawat stated these were insufficient to address Delhi’s transportation needs.

The BJP also criticized the AAP government’s handling of infrastructure projects. The promised installation of 1.5 million CCTV cameras lacked transparency, according to Sehrawat. She further condemned the alleged deterioration of the Yamuna River and the poor state of healthcare infrastructure, pointing to dilapidated Mohalla Clinics and under-equipped hospitals like Rao Tularam Memorial and Indira Gandhi Hospital.

Sehrawat urged the Delhi government to sign an MoU for the Ayushman Bharat scheme by January 5th, accusing AAP chief Arvind Kejriwal of prioritizing publicity stunts like the “Sanjeevani Yojana” over providing actual healthcare benefits. She accused the AAP of obstructing the expansion of metro services. The BJP’s chargesheet paints a bleak picture of the AAP government’s performance in West Delhi and calls for immediate action to address these alleged failures.
