Mon Dec 30 04:39:23 UTC 2024: ## Yadgir City to Get 85 CCTV Cameras by February 2025

**Yadgir, Karnataka, December 30, 2024** – Yadgir city is set to receive a significant boost in security with the installation of 85 CCTV cameras across key locations. The project, funded by a ₹53 lakh grant from the Kalyan Karnataka Regional Development Board (KKRDB), is expected to be completed by the end of February 2025.

Superintendent of Police Prutvik Shankar announced the initiative, stating that the cameras will aid in crime prevention and investigation, particularly in addressing road accidents. The increasing population and traffic volume in the city necessitate enhanced surveillance, he added.

The installation coincides with a recent police success: the arrest of two individuals, Balaji and Gurushant Patil, and the recovery of 22 stolen motorcycles valued at approximately ₹7.50 lakh. The arrests were made under the supervision of Additional SP Dharanesh, DySP Arun Kumar, and PI Sunil Mulimani.

In light of upcoming New Year’s celebrations, police will intensify security measures to maintain law and order. Mr. Shankar urged citizens to exercise caution, particularly regarding online fraud, advising them not to share personal or banking information with unknown callers and to report such incidents to 1930 or https://cybercrime.gov.in.
