Mon Dec 30 13:41:48 UTC 2024: ## Local Man’s Organs Donated After Fatal Accident
**THOOTHUKUDI, December 30, 2024** – The organs of a 21-year-old man, Danasingh Aadimuthu, were donated after he was declared brain dead following a motorcycle accident. Aadimuthu, a resident of Pudiyamputhur, was involved in the accident near Polepattai and admitted to Thoothukudi Government Medical College and Hospital. Despite receiving intensive care, he was declared brain dead on Sunday afternoon.
His family, including his mother and brothers, made the selfless decision to donate his organs. His liver was sent to Apollo Hospital in Tiruchi, his kidneys to Tirunelveli Government Medical College and Hospital and Kauvery Hospital in Tiruchi, and his corneas to Aravind Eye Care hospitals in Tirunelveli.
Social Welfare and Women Empowerment Minister P. Geetha Jeevan and Collector K. Elambahavath paid their respects. The Resident Medical Officer urged the public to wear helmets and drive safely to prevent similar tragedies.
