**KOCHI, December 27, 2024** – A 20-year-old man, Aquib Hanan, has been arrested by the Ernakulam cyber police for circulating a pirated copy of the new Malayalam film, *Marco*, via Instagram. Hanan, an Aluva resident, allegedly obtained the pirated video from a website called Ogo Movies and shared a link to it with his followers upon request. Police sources state this action violates the copyright act.

While the investigation continues to identify those responsible for initially pirating and uploading the film, Hanan has been arrested for distributing the illegal copy. The Infopark cyber police station has registered a case, and authorities are currently pursuing leads to trace the origin of the pirated version. Police have yet to establish a direct link between Hanan and the act of piracy itself.
