Fri Dec 27 20:50:00 UTC 2024: ## Two Filipino Men Arrested at Delhi Airport with Cocaine Capsules

**New Delhi, December 28, 2024** – Customs officials at Indira Gandhi International (IGI) Airport in New Delhi arrested two Filipino men on December 27th for smuggling cocaine. The men, who arrived from Bangkok via Addis Ababa on December 13th, had ingested a total of 156 capsules filled with cocaine.

One passenger expelled 66 capsules, yielding 503 grams of cocaine with an estimated street value of ₹10.14 crore (approximately $1.2 million USD). The other passenger expelled 90 capsules, containing 676 grams of cocaine, also valued at ₹10.14 crore. Both individuals were taken to Safdarjung Hospital to facilitate the expulsion of the capsules. The total amount of cocaine seized is valued at over ₹17 crore (approximately $2 million USD).

The customs department is conducting a further investigation into the case.
