**CHENNAI, December 28, 2024** – Three prominent figures in the South Indian arts scene received prestigious Rasa Maamani awards on Friday at the Ramana Sunritya Aalaya’s (RASA) 25th anniversary music festival. Dancer Priya Murale was presented the Natana Rasa Maamani award, while violinists Nandini and Lalitha jointly received the Isai Rasa Maamani award. Classical musician and composer Rajkumar Bharathi, a long-time associate of the awardees, distributed the honors.

Murale dedicated her award to her teachers, praising the work of Ambika Kameshwar and her dedication to training young children. She expressed her commitment to the responsibility bestowed upon her, acknowledging the less structured lifestyle of artists and thanking those who supported her career.

The Isai Rasa Maamani recipients, Nandini and Lalitha, expressed gratitude to their parents and teachers for their unwavering support. They described the award as particularly meaningful.

In addition to the main awards, RASA also presented a special talent award to Prashanth Kishore, recognizing his 20 years of dedication to the organization and his mastery of the Bhagavad Gita. The founder-director of Rasa, Ambika Kameshwar, announced the institution of this special award.
