**Hyderabad, India –** BRS Working President KT Rama Rao expressed deep sorrow over the passing of Osamu Suzuki, former chairman of Suzuki Motor Corporation. Mr. Rao stated that he was deeply saddened by the news, recalling a positive meeting with Mr. Suzuki in Hamamatsu years ago and cherishing the memory of his humility and words.
Suzuki Motor Corporation officially announced on Friday that Mr. Suzuki, who had been battling cancer for some time, passed away on December 25th from lymphoma. He was 93 years old.
Born on January 30, 1930, in Hiro, Japan, Mr. Suzuki played a pivotal role in expanding the company’s reach globally, overseeing its motorcycle and automobile operations for over 40 years. He took over the reins of the company after marrying Shoho Suzuki in 1958, following a lack of heirs in the family. He retired from his position in 2021. His leadership and contribution to the automotive industry have been widely recognized.
