**Melbourne, Australia – December 28, 2024** – Nitish Kumar Reddy made history today, scoring his first ever Test century in the fourth and final match of the Border-Gavaskar Trophy against Australia. The 21-year-old batsman achieved this milestone on the Boxing Day Test, becoming the youngest Indian to score a century on this particular day. He reached the landmark score of 100 runs off 171 balls, including nine fours and a six.
Reddy, playing in only his first Test series for India, came to the crease at number eight and played a crucial innings, helping India to a first-innings total of 354/9, still 120 runs behind Australia. His performance follows impressive showings in previous matches, showcasing both batting and bowling talent.
