**Mount Maunganui, New Zealand** – A month and a half after their recent ODI and T20I series, New Zealand and Sri Lanka are set to face off again in a six-match contest, comprising three T20 Internationals and three ODIs. This series marks the official beginning of Mitchell Santner’s captaincy for New Zealand’s white-ball team, a significant step ahead of upcoming ICC tournaments.
The T20I series kicks off on December 28th at the Bay Oval in Mount Maunganui, with further matches scheduled for December 30th and January 2nd. The final T20I will be played in Nelson on January 2nd. Sri Lanka, strong in ODIs this year, will be looking to improve their T20I performance against a New Zealand team featuring a mix of established and newer players.
