**Bengaluru, December 27, 2024** – Six-year-old Nythika A. L. from Bengaluru has made history by winning three medals at the 62nd National Roller Skating Championship held in Pollachi, Tamil Nadu. Competing in the 5-7 age group, Nythika, representing Karnataka’s Flying Skaters Club, secured two gold medals in Figure Skating and Solo Dance, and a silver medal in Quad Freestyle. This is the first time Karnataka has achieved this feat in this age group’s Artistic Discipline.
Nythika’s mother, Lekshmi C., shared that her daughter discovered her passion for skating two years ago after trying various sports. “There was no turning back after she put on roller skates for the first time,” Ms. Lekshmi said, expressing hope that Nythika will one day represent India.
