**Ghaziabad, India** – A 17-year-old girl, Kajal Singh, died by suicide on Friday after reportedly being scolded by her father, police confirmed. The Class 12 student was reprimanded for sleeping instead of studying, leading her to hang herself from a ceiling fan using a stole, according to ACP Indrapuram Swantra Kumar Singh. Her father, Jaiveer Singh, discovered her and rushed her to a nearby hospital, but she was pronounced dead on arrival. A post-mortem examination has been conducted, and police are currently investigating the incident.
