**KOCHI, December 27, 2024** – Aluva resident Aquib Fanan has been arrested by Kochi Cyber Police for circulating a pirated copy of the recently released Malayalam film “Marko” on social media. Fanan allegedly contacted individuals online, offering them a link to the pirated film in exchange for a message. He provided the illegal link to those who responded.
The arrest follows a complaint filed by the film’s producers on December 25th. Following the complaint, Fanan’s social media account was reportedly taken down. Police are currently questioning Fanan to determine the source of the pirated copy. The investigation is ongoing.
