**Mumbai, India** – The State Bank of India (SBI) has announced the recruitment of 600 Probationary Officers (POs), with applications opening on December 27th and closing on January 16th, 2024. The recruitment drive will fill 586 regular positions and 14 backlog positions.
According to the official notification, the preliminary examination for SBI PO will be held on March 8th and 15th, 2024. Candidates must possess a bachelor’s degree from a recognized university in any discipline or an equivalent qualification recognized by the Central Government. Those in their final year/semester of graduation are also eligible to apply.
The age limit for applicants is between 21 and 30 years, with relaxations available as per government regulations. The application fee is ₹750, with exemptions for SC and ST candidates.
Selection will be a four-stage process: a preliminary exam (100 marks, comprising English Language, Quantitative Aptitude, and Reasoning Ability), a mains exam (250 marks), an interview, and document verification. Selected candidates will receive a starting basic salary of ₹48,480 per month, with those selected for the Mumbai center receiving an annual starting salary of ₹18.67 lakhs.
