**VISAKHAPATNAM, December 25, 2024** – Kolluru Rama Rao, a prominent figure in Visakhapatnam’s public relations field, was awarded the prestigious Public Relations Society of India (PRSI) Lifetime Achievement Award. The award ceremony took place at the recent PRSI national conference in Raipur.

Mr. Rao, whose career spans over four decades, received the award from former Member of Parliament Nanda Kumar Sahi (Chattisgarh), in the presence of PRSI national president Ajith Pathak and national secretary general P.L.K. Murthy.

His career began in 1974 at Hindusthan Shipyard, followed by a role as Manager of Public Relations at the Dredging Corporation of India from 1977. After retiring in 2006, he continued his contributions to the field at Sankar Foundation Eye Hospital, serving as Head of Public Relations until 2023.

A dedicated member of the PRSI, Mr. Rao served as Chairman of the Visakhapatnam chapter for over a decade, significantly impacting the growth and development of public relations in the region. The award recognizes his significant and lasting contributions to the profession.
