Wed Dec 25 15:10:00 UTC 2024: ## Bihar Experiences Unusually Mild December, Cold Snap Predicted

**Patna, Bihar –** Bihar has experienced an unusually mild December, with residents yet to feel the full impact of winter. The lack of severe cold is attributed to westerly winds. While Wednesday morning saw generally mild temperatures across most districts, fog was reported in several areas.

However, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) forecasts a change in weather conditions within the next 2-3 days. Heavy fog is predicted for northeastern and southeastern Bihar, with moderate fog expected elsewhere.

A significant shift is anticipated from Friday, December 27th, with the activation of a western disturbance. This could bring light rain to several districts, including Supaul, Madhepura, Bhojpur, Rohtas, Buxar, Darbhanga, Madhubani, Vaishali, Patna, and Saran, on December 28th and 29th. The IMD anticipates that this weather system, coupled with a temperature drop, will finally bring a noticeable increase in cold conditions across the state.
