**Hyderabad, December 26, 2024** – Leading figures from the Telugu film industry met with Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy this morning to discuss improving relations between the industry and the state government. The meeting, facilitated by Telangana Film Development Corporation (TGFDC) chairman V. Venkata Ramana Reddy (Dil Raju), also included Deputy Chief Minister Bhatti Vikramarka Mallu, Cinematography Minister Komatireddy Venkat Reddy, and other senior officials.
Attendees included prominent actors such as Akkineni Nagarjuna, Daggubati Venkatesh, Siddhu Jonnalagadda, and Kiran Abbavaram, as well as producers Allu Aravind and directors K Raghavendra Rao, Trivikram, and Boyapati Srinu.
The meeting comes after recent tensions, stemming from a stampede at a theatre during a film screening and the subsequent arrest of actor Allu Arjun. These events, coupled with Minister Komatireddy Venkat Reddy’s recent announcement banning future benefit shows unless they address social issues or promote patriotism, highlighted the strained relationship. The meeting aimed to address these concerns and foster a more positive working environment between the Telangana government and the Telugu film industry.
