**GAZA CITY, Palestine –** At least 10 Palestinians, including five journalists, were killed and more than two dozen wounded in Israeli airstrikes on the Gaza Strip early Thursday morning, according to Gaza’s health authorities. Five civilians perished and 20 were injured in a strike targeting a home in Gaza City’s Zeitoun neighborhood. The death toll from this attack could rise, as several people remain trapped under the rubble. Separately, five journalists with the Al-Quds Al-Youm television channel were killed when their clearly marked media vehicle was hit near Al-Awda hospital in Nuseirat.

Palestinian sources stated the vehicle was visibly identified as press and used by journalists covering events at the hospital and nearby Nuseirat refugee camp. The Israeli government has yet to comment on the incidents.

These deadly strikes follow failed ceasefire negotiations between Hamas and Israel on Wednesday. Both sides had previously reported progress in talks, but ultimately failed to reach an agreement. The escalating violence raises serious concerns about the ongoing humanitarian crisis in Gaza.
